i'm going to 'create' a headboard this week. i'm inspired to make my own b/c i'm tired of not having one and i think it should be fairly easy and inexpensive. we are also 'drawing up' plans to make our own ottoman b/c those out there for sale are just not quite what we want. i mean how hard could it be to make one? it's just a box really with some upholstery fabric on it, right? anyway, we'll see. just have to get mike to do the wood part and i can do the rest.
not much going on these days. mich had his first soccer game today in two weeks. we finally gave up on babying the toe. it's still attached but all healed underneath. we just wrapped it to keep it 'glued' to his foot so the part that is still attached wouldn't tear. he played well. just the other team kicked our butts. it was quite sad. the coach's wife coached the game and the kids were just completely lost. he didn't come to the game until the last few minutes and his wife told the ref that the period they were playing was the last one. they still had twenty minutes left to play. but i guess it didn't matter. the extra twenty minutes only would have allowed the other team to score twenty more goals on us. oh well. maybe he'll have a better game next week.
owen is a turkey. he is getting into everything. it's extra hard when we are over at mike's mom's house. she doesn't have any way to block anything off b/c it's such an open floor plan. we are constantly chasing him all over the place. kinda sucks. and we'll be doing it again tomorrow b/c the cowboy's are playing. yippee.
so that's about all for now. i hope to finish my banner sometime this week? maybe? i have to work this week. i said i'd work mon and weds at least. i think i may go for a few hours on tues as well just to get a few extra hours.
